Cab interiors, modernisation, goods hoists, and safety upgrades — photographed on real DYMO sites across Gauteng.
Work already done
Lift interiors
Finished cabs across retail, commercial, and residential buildings — stainless, glass, and timber-look finishes with new handrails, ceilings, lighting, and flooring.
Modernisation
Before & after
Modernisation replaces what has worn out or fallen behind current standards, without replacing the whole lift. These pairs show the same equipment before we started and again on completion.
Landing doors recladded
A timber swing door on an overhead closer replaced with power-operated brushed stainless doors, a new frame, illuminated position indicator, and call station — the same opening, in the same brickwork and blue-painted frame.
Control system replaced
Electromechanical relay logic — hundreds of contacts, every one a wear point — replaced with a variable-frequency drive and serial controller. Smoother starts and stops, better levelling, lower running costs, and fault diagnostics a technician can read.
Machine room
A geared machine and open relay frame make way for a compact drive on a new bedplate. The room itself is part of the job — walls repainted, ventilation cleared, and the floor sealed and marked so it can be worked in safely.
Car top safety
Older car tops often have no balustrade, no marked refuge space, and an inspection station that predates current expectations. We fit handrails, limited-headroom protection, a marked standing refuge to BS EN81-20, and a proper car-top control station.
Shaft, pit & machine room
Safety, survey & site work
The work passengers never see. Refuge spaces, bumping poles, buffers, and governor equipment installed to current standards — plus the survey and installation stages in between.
Industrial
Goods hoists
Purpose-built goods hoists for factory and warehouse use — structural shaft steelwork, folding landing doors, payload-rated cars, and guarded drive equipment, through to controls, pit works, and car top safety.
